The “Taiwan and the Baltic States Research Center on Physics”,  established by National Sun Yat-sen University and the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia in 2020, held its online bilateral workshop on April 28, 2021. There invited 12 speakers to present their research results, and the participants online were more than 70. The event was a big success having researchers and scientists from Taiwan, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. They shared topics related to the fields of Physics, Photonics, and Materials Science.

Since the pandemic of Covid-19 have impeded international academic mobility around the world. Such kind of online webinar is expected to be continued for not only professors but also for students in the future.
